Sheer will and enthusiasm can go a long way, but financial support to provide training, equipment, and marketing can make your efforts more successful. However,  securing funding can be intimidating and frustrating.

FUNDING IS AVAILABLE! We invite you to spend a day with National experts to learn how to find appropriate funding for your specific programs. Grants are a great source of funding, but knowing how to successfully write and submit these grant requests takes skill. David Mills, Vice-President of We Care America, makes it easier with an interactive training. He will help you to identify and craft winning language for your grants based on his experience in helping
hundreds of others.  He will be in Greensboro on January 12 and will walk you through the grant writing process one step at a time in a training co-sponsored by the Family Life Council and We Care America. You will leave with the makings of a successful application. 

This training is designed to reach people with all levels of experience in grant writing – from the novice to the professional – and will help you write an application for state, federal, or foundation funding. We Care America has been one of the most successful grant writers for Healthy Marriage Funds and you will want to be here for this training. It will be an opportunity to learn the basics of writing a grant and a great chance for you to meet others from across the state who are building marriage coalitions and efforts.

This one-day, one-time opportunity is being brought to North Carolina through a joint effort of the Family Life Council and "We Care America" organizations. The Cost for this opportunity is $30 (before 1/5/07 and $35 after 1/5/07)and will include the Grant Writing Lab book and lunch. Click here to register or call us at 336-333-6890 ext. 227.

Similar trainings are available nationally, but rarely from such well known speakers. Though the discussions will center around Marriage programs, grant writing skills are universal and this training will benefit those involved in other family related or educationally related topics.

Those individuals interested in being part of a state wide Coalition of Healthy Marriage Programs are invited to be part of a planning meeting during the Lunch Break. There is no extra charge for those attending the Grant Writing Lab Training. If however, you would like to attend the luncheon discussion but are not attending the Grant Writing Lab training program, the cost is $10 to cover the catered lunch expenses.
